Paint and draw with the beautifully expressive medium of soft (chalk) pastel! Capture the color and light of the world around us, learning the basics of picture making as well as more advanced techniques and tips. We will be working with still life, interiors and landscape: There will be a demonstration each week, with time for questions and individual advice. Discussion topics include materials, techniques, composition, and use of color. Beginners and experienced are all welcome to join us!

SUNDAY PAINTING AND DRAWING AT THE GALLERY, OPEN STUDIO

Monthly/4 Sundays $40.00
Monthly/5 Sundays $50.00
Drop-in weekly (first come/first serve) $15.00
We are opening Sundays to artists looking for a weekly place to paint or draw. We have the upstairs classroom available, and for those with a less messy way of working are welcome to use the main gallery space, as long as you keep a reasonable foot print, and don’t mind gallery patrons admiring your work!
Participants provide their own materials and are responsible for cleanup. No heavy solvents or mediums. Easels, tables, drop cloths, and stools and chairs are available.
